National Taiwan Normal University Emergency Treatment Guidelines for Injuries and Illnesses (Approved at the First Administrative Meeting of the 105th Academic Year on September 21, 2016)
1. Basis:
- (1) The provisions of Article 15, Paragraph 1 of the School Health Act shall apply.
- (2) The Ministry of Education is responsible for handling the emergency injuries and illnesses in schools at all levels.
2. Purpose: To coordinate with relevant units on campus to quickly handle emergencies and protect the lives of faculty, staff and students.
3. Implementation Measures:
- (1)Treatment methods
- 1、When an accident occurs, the people on the scene should immediately send the injured to the health center or ask medical staff to provide first aid on site. If the patient is unconscious, has fractures, has difficulty breathing, is in a coma, or has heavy bleeding, please call 119 for medical assistance and notify the school's medical staff to provide first aid on site.
- 2、 Patients with mild symptoms will be treated on the spot or transferred to the health center for treatment.
- 3、For patients who need to be transferred to an external hospital for medical treatment, nursing staff and personnel from the relevant units will assist in accompanying them and will notify the parents or other appropriate individuals.
- 4、Please ask the accompanying person to notify the health center of the patient's condition.
- (2) The processing flow is as shown in the figure (the flow chart is as follows)
4.Report
- (1)Please request that the dedicated tutor office notify the Ministry of Education in accordance with the campus safety management system.
- (2)Cases of infectious diseases or food poisoning shall be reported by the Health Center to the health authorities.
- (3) When a major occupational accident occurs, the school's Environmental Safety and Health Center should be notified immediately, and the labor inspection unit must be notified in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
5. These guidelines shall be promulgated and implemented after being approved by the school’s administrative director, and the same applies to amendments.
