According to Ministry of Education regulations, all new students are required to undergo a health examination upon admission. As outlined in the National Taiwan Normal University Implementation Directives for New Student Health Examination, students who do not complete the health examination will be considered to have not finalized their registration process. Students must complete the health examination before they can receive their student ID.
★New students who wish to take a leave of absence during the current academic year should NOT participate in the on-campus health examination for that year. Instead, they should complete the health examination with incoming new students upon returning to school in September of the following year. (If you plan to return to school in February 2025, please schedule an appointment for a health examination and submit the report to the Health Center before your return.)
★★★★Important Reminders:
▲1. Overseas Chinese and international students who have already undergone a health examination for their Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) are still required to complete the new student health examination, as the required items differ between the two examinations.
▲2.Reports from general labor physical examination or military service physical examination cannot be accepted, as they do not meet the items specified by the Ministry of Education.
★Student dormitory access control: Dorm access requires a student ID card. Residents who have not completed the health examination and received their student ID must obtain a temporary access card at the dormitory office.

| 1. New students who are unable to attend the on-campus health exam should go to a qualified medical institution for the health examination before the start of the semester. (Please download and print out the National Taiwan Normal University Student Health Examination Form and bring it to the hospital to complete the required items as specified. Please also allow sufficient time to receive the hospital's examination report, which typically takes about 3 to 4 weeks.) 2. Please submit a health examination report issued within 3 months (for example, if the semester starts in February 2026, the report must be dated after November 2025). The report must include all the items specified in the NTNU Student Health Examination Form. Please download the first page of the NTNU health information card, fill it out, attach it as the cover of the examination report, and submit them together. After submitting the off-campus examination report to the Health Center, a Health Examination Report Submission Certificate will be issued. Students can collect their student ID card from the Academic Affairs Office after the semester begins by presenting the certificate or the health examination payment receipt from either the Lohas Clinics or Chi Hsin Clinic. Graduate students should collect their student ID cards from the Graduate Academic Affairs Office or the Academic Affairs Office at the Gongguan Campus (for students based at Gongguan Campus). |
★How to submit an off-campus health examination report:
Off-campus health examination reports can be submitted in person at the Health Center (either Heping Campus I or Gongguan Campus, see map for details), or by mail (Health Center, No. 162, Section 1, Heping East Road, Taipei City), or by e-mail (anni1954@ntnu.edu.tw). The report must be submitted within 1 month after the start of the semester. Health Center office hours: Monday to Friday (8:30-17:00), with staff on duty during the lunch break.During winter and summer vacations, submissions should be made on Fridays at the Administrative Office of the Health Center on the 4th floor of the Lohas Clinics (Heping Campus I).
★Notes for off-campus health examination:
1. Fasting is not required. Maintain your regular routine, avoid staying up late, and refrain from overeating for three days prior to the health exam to ensure accurate test results. For the chest X-ray, wear a top without underwire or metal accessories. Pregnant women should not undergo a chest X-ray; however, an X-ray report must be submitted to the Health Center after childbirth.
2. Domestic students must bring their original ID card. International students must bring the original and one photocopy of their passport, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), or entry permit.
3. Health examination items: (All the following items must be completed. Any missing items must be retaken at a hospital or clinic.)
1) General examination – height, weight, waist circumference, pulse, blood pressure, vision, color vision, hearing,oraland physical examination.
2) Blood test – liver function (SGPT, SGOT), creatinine, urea nitrogen (BUN), uric acid (UA), total cholesterol (T-CHOL), complete blood test (WBC, RBC, PLT, HCT, HB, MCV), Hepatitis B surface antigen antibody.
3) Urine test – urine protein, urine occult blood, urine sugar, pH value.
