In September 1957, the Administrative Council approved the establishment of the Health Center to provide outpatient diagnosis, medical care, health education, and other services. The University Health Committee was established in 1989 to further review and supervise campus health work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the University Charter revision approved at the 97th interim meeting of the University Council on January 31, 2007, the Health Center was placed under the Office of Student Affairs that same year. To improve the quality of health care for faculty, staff, and students, a dedicated Health Center building was built and was completed on April 13, 2015. Meanwhile, the Lohas Clinics leased a space in NTNU to provide faculty, staff, and students with discounted medical registration fees. The Health Center\u2019s business has transformed to focus on primary prevention and health promotion, committing to comprehensive health management, epidemic prevention, hygiene, and health care services for all faculty, staff, and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.Healthcare Business
<\/strong>New student health examination and follow-ups, defect correction, case management and medical referrals, emergency injury treatment, infectious disease prevention and control, special disease case management, AED maintenance, medical equipment borrowing, applications for special physical education programs, lactation room management, and blood drives.

2. Dietary and Food Hygiene<\/strong>
Dietary hygiene management, personalized nutrition counseling, nutrition education campaigns, and water quality inspection for campus water dispensers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

3. Health Promotion Initiatives<\/strong>
In alignment with the Ministry of Education\u2019s Health Promoting Schools Project for Higher Education Institutions, the Center organizes health promotion and health education events, including AIDS prevention and control, healthy body weight, tobacco hazard control, first aid training courses, and various disease prevention campaigns, while providing internship sites and guidance for students in related departments.

4.Occupational Safety and Health<\/strong>
The Center manages NTNU\u2019s labor occupational safety and health-related business, such as on-site health services, physical examination for new employees, health management for general and special labor health examination, employee health education, health promotion, and hygiene guidance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
